This place was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 BC) as his Kingdom. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. In the morning drive to Kandy, is a large city in central Sri Lanka, surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and bio diverse rainforest. After early breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya. On the way you can visit a tea factory and enjoy a fresh cup of ceylon tea. After breakfast depart to Ella. It’s everyone favourite hill-country village. Rawana waterfalls, is a popular sightseeing attraction in Ella. It currently ranks as one of the widest falls in the country; in fact this waterfall measures approximately 25 m (82 ft).

Another attraction is the Nine Arch Bridge. It is a massive bridge built entirely of solid rocks, bricks and cement without using a single piece of steel. The bridge was finally commissioned in 1921.

The old city built by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century, with its wonderful collection of Dutch-colonial buildings, Classic architecture melds with a dramatic tropical setting to create a reality that is endlessly interesting.
